Adult Bed Bug is about 3/16-inch long, reddish- to dark-brown, flat and oval-shaped, but becomes longer and plumper after feeding. Hides in cracks and crevices during the day, lives in mattresses, coils of springs, cracks and hollow posts of beds and upholstery. Most species prefer a human host. Females lay about two eggs per day, until approximately 200 have been laid. Hatch in 6 to 17 days. Adults can live a year or longer without feeding.

Fleas are ectoparasites. They are small, wingless, about 1/12 to 1/6 inch long. Covered in spines with piercing mouth parts. A parasite that attaches to a host. Eggs will hatch on the ground, in nests, carpet, bedding, upholstery or cracks in the floor. Most hatch within 7 to 14 days. Powerful legs enable them to jump 7 to 8 inches vertically, and 14 to 16 inches horizontally. Carrier of parasites and disease organisms to human and animal hosts. E.g. Plague.

Scorpions are active only when night time low temperatures exceed about 250 C. All scorpions spend the light hours under cover or in burrows. Scorpions are not aggressive toward non-prey, and only sting when handled or otherwise molested. The sting of some species of scorpion can be life threatening. If someone has been stung by a scorpion, contact a physician as soon as possible for advice and assistance. Scorpions grow slowly. Depending on the species, they may take 1 to 6 years to reach maturity. On average scorpions may live 3 to 5 years, but some species can live as long as 10 to 15 years.
